Description of Action |
|
The Administration recommends Commission consideration and approval to expand the number of commercial water accounts being considered in a commercial water service account examination study being performed by Willdan Financial Services. The expansion of this study will increase confidence that more of the largest and/or most recent commercial water service accounts established through more recent development have been properly established, charged and operated by the City’s Utility operations. |

Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary |
|
The expanded study recommends adding 25% of the remaining commercial accounts which adds ~125 additional accounts to the initial 186 accounts reviewed in the initial examination. The added cost of this 25% expansion is $18,100 and will bring the total cost of the full examination study to $42,600. Costs are to be funded from the City’s Water and Sewer Fund. |
